Amérikologie and Génie360.ca invite us to rediscover Latin America in all its ingenuity by taking us on a trip across the continent where its people long to succeed as a group and not just as individuals. The series, its web and mobile platforms as well as its iPad application focus on some of humanity's greatest qualities – our resourcefulness, commitment, determination, altruism and inventiveness – by introducing us to people who've decided to do things differently, making them a welcome change in their communities. From Cuba to Chile and Peru to Bolivia, Luis Oliva guides us through this "other America." Along the way he makes sure to single out "special people" who think up and implement solutions to environmental, social equality and agricultural problems as well as women's development issues. He also shares some of his travel journal entries so we can rediscover through his eyes this wonderful continent that is currently undergoing many changes.
