After 8 naughty field trips in 2010, members of the Sexe autour du monde were pumped up for action and in no mood to put the cap on their camera… So they launched headlong into a fresh adventure among our neighbours to the south.
This new web series was recorded in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and (needless to say) New York, and featured 11 webisodes, each 5 to 8 minutes long, presented to viewers online exclusively at www.tv5.ca, starting February 22, 2011.
The concept behind the new series assumed a different formula from that of the version seen on television. The team wanted to sound out Americans in order to understand them better, away from the opinion-makers and culture warriors whose positions ordinarily overshadow the ideas of the people you meet on the street.
The stories are extremely varied – some amusing, others touching, but always frank and topical. Altogether, these 11 webisodes broadly document the sexual habits, practices and attitudes of Americans, from super-liberal to ultra-conservative.
You’ll discover, for example, the dramatic repercussions of the anti-sodomy laws in the State of Georgia, see the work of a body-painting artist, meet the author the bestseller Fork Me, Spoon Me, and find out (in case you didn’t know?) what “sex-positive” means…or “bootblacking”…

OTTAWA - TV5’s broadcast of the documentary Le sexe autour du monde, which depicted sexual acts, was aired at the right time and was not exploitative, but violated the Viewer Advisory provision for not alerting audiences to its sexual content ruled The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC).
